Evergreen - dark glossy green leaves - forms thickets - NOT suitable for small gardens. 3-4.5m (10-15ft) but can reach 6m (20ft) - plant 2-2.4m (6-8ft) apart. Ordinary moist drained garden soil - add peat and fert - never allow ground to dry out. Sun or partial shade, out of wind. Peat/fert mulch, spring.
